             World No Tobacco Day - May 31

               May 31,is World No Tobacco Day,an annual awareness day,sponsored by World Health Organization (WHO).The annual camapign is an opportunity to raise awareness on the harmful and deadly effects of tobacco use and smoke exposures.

The main focus of World No Tobacco Day is Tobacco and Lung Health, to increase awareness on,

  • People's lung health
  • Chronic Respiratory diseases
  • Lung collapse
  • Lung cancer
  • Oral cancer
The fundamental role Lungs play the Health and well being of all the peoples.


Lung Cancer; Tobacco smoking is the primary case for Lung cancer,responsible for over Two-Thirds of Lung cancer death globally. 
                           Smoke exposure @ Home ,public places,or work places also increasing cause of cancer for Non-smokers also.
                          Quitting smoking ,risk of Lung cancer falls to half  of that a smoker.

Chronic Respiratory Disease.(COPD); Tobacco smoking is leading cause of CHRONIC RESPIRATORY OBSTRUCTIVE DISEASES,.

                 


                                This condition is pus-filled mucus in lung ,results in cough,painful cough, burning sensation and breathing difficulties.

                               The risk of developing copd is who smoke from young age it is major role for lung cancer and copd. 


Across the Life-Course; Infants exposed inutero to tobacco smoke toxins, maternal smoking ,maternal exposure,at risk of asthma,pnemonia and bronchitis and frequent lower respiratory infection.
         
               Globally,an estimated 60,000 children die before the age of 5 0f lower respiratory infectins caused by second - hand smoke.


Tuberculosis; Tuberculosis (TB) damages the lung and malfunctioning of lung.People who smoke twice a daily as likely to fall ill with TB.

                           Tb damaging lung and other health effects of tobacco smoking .

Air pollution;Tobacco smell is very dangerous form of indore air pollution .It contains over 7000 chemicals,69 of which are known to cause cancer,chronic respiratory diseases,and reduced lung infection.

ADVICE; Parents and other members of the community should also take measures to promote their own health ,and that of their children,them the harms,caused by tobacco.
